Share-a-Thon: Hurricane Harvey: Texas’ Response Technology

When: Tue, May 8th, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Where: Hanover F

Who: Jaime Ovalle, Jeff Newbold, Sam Miller and Michael Ouimet from the Texas Division of Emergency Management

Why: Texas has experienced more federally declared disasters than any other State. Come see how the Texas Division of Emergency Management’s Critical Information Systems were put to the test during Hurricane Harvey.

Share-a-Thon: 2 Kool 4 Skool

When: Wed, May 9th, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Where: Hanover E

Who: Jeff Fletcher, Deputy Coordinator, Loudoun County, VA – Office of Emergency Management

Why: The use of WebEOC for daily operations has brought the Loudoun County Public Schools and the Loudoun County Office of Emergency Management closer together. Come see how the OEM strengthened the use of WebEOC by engaging partners in solving daily operational problems.

Share-A-Thon: Supporting the National Mutual Aid System

When: Wed, May 9th, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Who: Jeff Dulin, Assistant Director, International Association of Fire Chiefs

Why: Come see the future of the IAFC National Mutual Aid System’s use of WebEOC and ArcGIS! This new collaboration promises to help Emergency Managers across the nation readily request and provide resources in times of need. Many issues were brought to light during last year’s busy flood and fire season. Come see how these industry leaders are tackling the issues and creating an easy-to-use, scalable system.
