Juvare Exchange Unites Critical Incident Stakeholders

Just three days before observing the July 4th Independence Day holiday, Juvare celebrated another pivotal and revolutionary event, particularly in regard to critical incident management.

July 1 saw the official release of the new Juvare Exchange – the first-of-its-kind collaborative incident management network that connects critical incident stakeholders in real time and gives users the most comprehensive, accurate, and consistent Common Operating Picture (COP) available.

Juvare Exchange gives subscribers the ability to collaborate and engage with other members of the community, and to seamlessly communicate and share information on the Juvare Exchange network.

Users can share data across jurisdictional and geographical borders with specific partners they select, or with the entire Juvare Exchange community, spanning public, private, and healthcare sectors.

How does Juvare Exchange help connect these sectors? Here are a few examples:

Public Sector:

  • Juvare Exchange can help organizations coordinate large-scale events. For example, a private portal could be set up in Juvare Exchange to exchange information between local emergency management agencies, event security teams, and local healthcare providers in a city to coordinate preparedness and response to ensure the safety of citizens, visitors, and event attendees.
  • In Juvare Exchange, State Emergency Management Agencies can post shelter locations, status, and evacuation information on Juvare Exchange which would be accessible to all users in the Juvare Exchange community, including local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as fire and police departments.

Healthcare:

  • Public health departments could use Juvare Exchange to exchange information regarding health crises, outbreaks, or opioid data directly to the CDC for nationwide crisis management.
  • In advance of a major storm, like a hurricane or other imminent critical incidents, hospitals and healthcare facilities could request resources, specific medications, or equipment that will be needed. Resources could be deployed from other locations, and pharmacies could post medicine quantities available at specific locations.

Private Sector:

  • Building supply or hardware companies could publish their open/close store status and proactively publicize available resources such as water, generators, flashlights, or other supplies for people affected by a hurricane or other catastrophic event.
  • A hotel chain could post that they have rooms available for evacuees from wildfires, a hurricane, flooding, or other disaster situations.

There are numerous ways that Juvare Exchange breaks down siloes and eliminates barriers to collaboration that have been characteristic of critical incident response until now.

Juvare Exchange does this by allowing users to share data from their Juvare applications to specific partners and augmenting this information with external data sources like weather alerts and conditions, road/traffic data streams, and numerous other sources. Data is presented in an easy-to-use dashboard and includes mapping functionality. All this data can also be shown once shared, allowing Juvare Exchange users to access the information they need and find available resources.
