What initially attracted you to Juvare, and what keeps you here today?

What initially attracted me to Juvare was the name of the company. I remember looking it up and finding out that it meant “to help” in Latin and thought that it was excellent to see a company named after a powerful verb. The idea of working for a company named Juvare made me imagine that working here would tie well with my bias towards action/willingness to help, and that I would be working with a likeminded team. What keeps me here today is that what I imagined was correct!

Can you describe a moment or experience at Juvare that made you feel proud of your work?

During Hurricane Helene, I was looking at a news story on CNN about the state preparing for the impact. There was a photograph of a very busy command center full of people and display screens – and there was our WebEOC software. What we do was right there, helping people. I felt very proud in that moment.

Whenever I see our solutions actively supporting organizations in managing large events, incidents, or natural disasters, I feel a sense of pride in our team’s work on the workflows and technology. It was especially rewarding to see our own City of Atlanta leverage WebEOC to enhance coordination and management during this year’s elections, knowing my team helped create the solution.
